
Infection Control Nurse

Implement and monitor the hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies and procedures in accordance with NABH and government guidelines.
- Conduct regular infection control surveillance, audits, and risk assessments across all departments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret infection data to identify trends and outbreaks.
- Coordinate with the microbiology lab to track and report Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).
- Train and educate healthcare staff on best practices for hand hygiene, PPE use, sterilization, waste disposal, and outbreak response.
- Investigate incidents of infection outbreaks and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of infection control activities, audits, and reports.
- Collaborate with the Quality Team and participate in hospital accreditation processes (NABH/JCI/ISO).
- Ensure compliance with local and national health regulations regarding infection control.
- Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings and support administrative decision-making through data and recommendations.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) or Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or specialized IPC training preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in infection control or quality.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital infection control practices and NABH standards.
- Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and electronic health record systems.
