The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies. The role involves assisting doctors, monitoring patient health, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and clean healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Handle medical equipment safely and report any malfunction immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the ward/unit.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient care.
- Participate in training programs and staff development activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with the State Nursing Council.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience (freshers may also apply depending on hospital policy).
- Good communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
