As a Fabric Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in the têxtile industry by managing the procurement, production, and delivery of fabrics to meet client requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring production timelines, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will act as a liaison between suppliers, production teams, and clients to facilitate smooth operations and achieve customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Source and evaluate potential fabric suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.

2. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with fabric suppliers to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms.

3. Coordinate with design and production teams to understand fabric requirements for upcoming orders.

4. Place purchase orders for required fabrics, ensuring accuracy and adherence to production schedules.

5. Monitor fabric production processes to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.

6. Conduct regular inspections of fabric samples and production batches to ensure adherence to quality specifications.

7. Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to arrange timely delivery of fabrics to production facilities or clients.

8. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on fabric availability, production timelines, and any issues that may arise.

9. Resolve any quality or production-related issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize disruptions to production schedules.

10. Keep detailed records of fabric inventory, orders, and supplier communications using appropriate software or tools.

11. Stay informed about market trends, new fabric technologies, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.

12. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop fabric offerings that meet customer demand and market trends.

13. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or expansion.

14. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards related to fabric sourcing, production, and quality control.

15. Act as a representative of the company in fabric trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events as needed.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in têxtile engineering, merchandising, supply chain management, or a related field.

2. Previous experience in fabric procurement, merchandising, or sourcing, preferably in the têxtile industry.

3. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and clients.

4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

5. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software for inventory management and communication.

6. Knowledge of fabric types, properties, and production processes.

7. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

10. Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits, trade shows, or client meetings.
