Key Responsibilities:*
- *Negotiation & Coordination:* Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and quotations for LCL, FCL, air shipments, and other services within our client’s database to enhance profitability.
- *Industry Knowledge:* Display a comprehensive understanding of industry-related terminology, processes, and current freight market trends.
- *Profit Optimization:* Strategize to increase profit margins while minimizing costs.
- *Operations Management:* Oversee and manage export and import operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
- *Procedural Development:* Develop, implement, and continuously improve air freight forwarding operational procedures (import and export).
- *Rate & Contract Negotiation:* Lead negotiations of rates and contracts with air carriers.
- *Collaboration:* Work closely with sales teams to execute business plans and secure new business initiatives.
- *Client Relationship Management:* Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, airlines, and terminals to foster ongoing business opportunities.
- *Flexibility:* Adjust work schedules based on operational requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- *Business Support:* Assist the sales team and line managers with business development activities.
- *Compliance:* Ensure adherence to compliance standards and procedures.
- *Communication & Reporting:* Provide regular updates to management on pricing performance and address any issues proactively.
- *Quotation Management:* Manage the login and follow-up of all quotes, ensuring timely feedback and competitive pricing.
- *Confidentiality:* Handle sensitive documents and information with utmost confidentiality.
- *Additional Responsibilities:* Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

*Key Skills & Abilities:*
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to coordinate and finalize spot rates and quotations.
- In-depth understanding of industry-specific terminology, freight forwarding procedures, and market trends.
- Ability to develop strategies that enhance profit margins while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Proficient in managing import/export operations with a focus on air freight.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required by business needs
