Key Responsibilities:

- Planning and developing merchandising strategies ;
- Analysing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs plan product range/stock accordingly;
- Collaborating with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysis to negotiate prices, quantities and time scales;
- Forecast sales timely for all categories including Fabric, leather, All Lighting products - Pendant, chandeliers, table & floor lamps, lampshades and cushions, wallpapers & artwork;
- Monitor stock movement and reordering on time as per sales through;
- Ensure that stores/website are stocked with the right type and quantities of products;
- Make Recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data;
- Coordinating with all suppliers and vendors on daily basis for pending orders/new developments/samples etc.;
- Reviewing new samples/developments with designers and management once received from vendors/suppliers;
- Providing feedback about fabrics samples/décor samples/ new developments to the vendors/suppliers once reviewed;
- Negotiation with suppliers/vendors to minimise the costing of all order;
- Executions of new orders with feedback to suppliers/vendors to get it on right way/delivering quality products;
- Inspection of stock received from suppliers and providing quality check report; also by visiting vendors site;
- Coordinating with team for timely photo-shoot/website upload/Product descriptions of new received stock/new designs;
- Preparing timely sales through for the assigned category to identify hot & top selling styles and also for further discussion with the management. And make sure that all existing products are well stocked as per sales through;
- Introducing new vendors/suppliers' catalogue which is relevant to the category/product's aesthetic we are dealing with;
- Execution for new developments/new products after approval by the management;
- Having technical knowledge about the fabrics/leather along with all décor categories. Also having new/creative ideas for the packaging of décor styles according to the category;
- Resolving any issue related to the particular product and providing solution for the same by following up with supplier/vendors;
- Keeping track of all orders on daily basis and ordering if there is any customization requirement for the assigned category;
- Updating sales and stock reports, also keeping a check on available inventory;
- Developing new/alternatives vendors/suppliers simultaneously;
- Having information about the market trends and Company's requirements time to time and ensuring completion of all orders/new developments;
- Delivering the cost effective and quality products as per Gulmohar Lane standard.

Required Skills and Qualification:

- Preferred Experience in merchandising of wood & Home Furnishing Products including fabrics.
- Knowledge of Furniture Industry
- Strong followup interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Presentation, Analysing and Convincing Skills : should know how to negotiate with vendors
- Best Follow up of TNA (Time and Action Plan)
- Must have Negotiable qualities
- Good knowledge and understanding of Furniture will be an Advantage.
- Good with Marketing Strategies.
