**Job Description - Assistant Manager, Quality Control**

**About the Company**: Established in 1964, it’s a manufacturers and suppliers of mild steel drums and barrels. Types of drums it produces such as - Lightweight drums, Epoxy coated drums and Open mouth drums or as per customer demands used for storage and transportation requirements for items such as - petroleum products, lubricating oils, chemicals & pharmaceutical products.

**Designation**: Assistant Manager, Quality Control

**Reporting to**: Quality Manager

**Office Location**: Nadarganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India

**Overview of the role**:The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards for our products. You will work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry regulations. Your dedication to quality, attention to detail, and leadership skills will contribute to our mission of providing top-notch products to our customers.

**Areas of Responsibility**:
l **Quality Control Management**: Assist in the overall management of the quality control department, including planning, organizing, and coordinating quality control activities.

l **Quality Standards**: Implement and enforce quality control policies and procedures to ensure that products meet industry, regulatory, and customer quality standards.

l **Inspection and Testing**:Conduct and oversee inspection and testing of sheet metal products at various stages of the production process to identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities.

l **Documentation**:Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with document control procedures.

l **Root Cause Analysis**: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues and work collaboratively with other departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.

l **Staff Training**:Assist in training quality control staff on quality control techniques, standards, and best practices.

l **Process Improvement**:Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

l **Supplier Collaboration**:Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components.

l **Quality Audits**: Conduct internal quality audits and participate in external audits as required.

l **Reporting**: Prepare regular reports on quality control performance, issues, and improvements for management review.

l **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.

l **Team Leadership**: Provide leadership and guidance to the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science).
- Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality control methods, and statistical process control.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is a plus.
- Experience with quality control software and tools.

**Preferred Work Experience**:Around 7+ years of experience preferably in the Manufacturing sector

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,851.61 - ₹37,233.84 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:
