As A Medical Coding Supervisor (MC-S) at WWS you will be responsible for assigning the appropriate staff to describe a particular type of service to a patient. Ensuring that the codes are appropriately applied during the insurance process of billing, including removing the information from documentation, assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim for reimbursement.

Should have 5+ years of experience in medical coding.
Working knowledge in coding principles and practices including procedures and diagnoses.

A Medical Coding Supervisor’s Ideal Day At WWS
Overseeing Data. A coding supervisor’s innate ability is to ensure the security of patient records, maintain accuracy of information and assess the performance of subordinates. It’s Necessarily important as more hospitals and clinics move to electronic patient records per requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or HIPAA.
Prime Profile. Work with the director to promote productivity of the employees in the computer leveraged Coding challenges. Also will serve as principal and primary contact to the hospitals to provide coverage and systems access where needed. Providing guidance to coding staff which and when the stones are never left to be unturned.
Constructive Convolution. Ensure integrity of encoder and abstracting systems by maintenance and revision of data for which to review daily operations backlogs and computer problems. To suggest and execute corrective action,collaborate with Education and Training to identify training needs and schedule training activities, including transition.
