**About the Role**:
We are looking for someone who will act as a champion for our company growth in domestic transportation as we build a diverse and high-performance team.
**Responsibilities**:
As a Sales Owner, Your ‘day to day’
- Business Development: This is an individual contributor role in a high-performance environment which emphasizes spreading Cogoport’s unique way of doing business with the MSMEs and Enterprise customers.
- Present Cogoport to key Decision-makers: You would need to understand the Cogoport Value offerings in the field of transportation deeply and be able to pitch to Heads of Logistics or C-level Executives of Indian companies involved in Domestic logistics.
- Account lifecycle management: Be able to map the account (end users, influencers, decision-makers) and plan the sales process from initial demo to closure and transition to Key account management team within a defined timeline.
- Bidding the enquiry processes: You would need to participate in the end-to-end request-for-quotation process for the enterprises.
- Maximizing the Revenues: You would need to coordinate and close all contractual documentation for closure and revenue collection. Respond to all client-related matters, from contractual agreements, solution implementation and service performance, to service enhancements and new business opportunities, to get the most out of each customer account.
**Qualifications**:
- 2-5 years of experience in Sales in Transportation. Experience with transportation start-ups will be a plus.
- MBA in Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations will be preferred (Engineering Graduates or Diploma in Logistics or any related discipline would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of sales techniques and processes including understanding customer needs, overcoming objections, developing business cases, negotiating and closing complex deals
- Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles from beginning to end.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, be able to convince prospects.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, Process-orientation, Business acumen.
- Educational Background: Any graduate degree/ post graduate degree (Diploma in Logistics or any related discipline would be an advantage)
- Knowledge and certifications: Prior understanding of transportation is must.
