Roles and Responsibilities
Advanced knowledge of OS, Database, and Volume Management, Shell scripting, automation, and tool implementations.
Any technology related industry standard certification for L3 skills
Knowledge on backup tools like Pure Systems Dell, IBM, HDS, Veeam, Cohesity, Networker, IBM, Tivoli, Client, NetBackup, Commvault, NetApp Alta vault, Data domain and Data Protector or newer backup solutions.
Implementing changes in the Backup environment
Create and implement service improvements.
Design, innovate, deploy, and follow solutions/procedures to improve working process.
Participate in the building, installation, configuration and testing of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure for new use, upgrades, or lifecycle replacement.
Business continuity solution on storage platform of various vendor is required.
Provide leadership to identify, manage risks, and resolve issues in a team environment.
Understand IT and ITO Service Model and how daily activities are related to its defined Services.
Create, review, and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
Maintain an appropriate level of security for all backup systems.
Evaluate and recommend new backup solutions.
Perform in line with agreed procedures, SLAs, and customers' expectations.
Provide action items and next steps for backup solutions projects.
Participate in the creation of business recovery plans and develop data backup processes.
Tailored to organizational needs.
Experience on backups to public cloud AWS and Azure.
Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies across various platforms (Windows, Linux, ESXi).
Knowledge and Skill Requirement
Relevant technical experience in corporate IT operations in Data Center Environment
Strong hands-on experience and troubleshooting skills of backup tools
Provide a professional, prompt and high level of technical support to all problems assigned.
Has managed technical teams for specialized areas.
Strong planning and organizing capabilities.
Always driving for continuous improvement across domains
Expertise in backup troubleshooting concepts.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Willing to work in 24x7 supports Environment.
Understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux Operating System.
Good Knowledge of ITIL processes and implementation
