This role is crucial in both restaurant and banquet settings, where maintaining efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism ensures guest satisfaction.

**Job Description for FnB Attendant**

**Position Title**: Food and Beverage Attendant

**Reports To**: Food and Beverage Manager / Supervisor

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Guest Service**:

- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, making them feel comfortable and attended to.
- **Order Management**:

- Take accurate food and beverage orders, suggesting options if needed, and ensure any dietary restrictions or preferences are noted.
- Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar to ensure timely preparation.
- **Menu Knowledge and Recommendations**:

- Be knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients, preparation styles, and daily specials.
- Provide recommendations when asked and answer any guest inquiries regarding menu items.
- **Serving Food and Beverages**:

- Serve orders promptly, maintaining appropriate presentation and portion control.
- Refill beverages and ensure that guests have everything they need during their meal.
- **Table Maintenance**:

- Monitor tables to ensure they are kept clean and well-stocked.
- Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware throughout service, resetting the table as needed.
- **Handling Payments**:

- Present bills to guests, handle payments accurately, and process credit card or cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and balance transactions at the end of the shift.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene**:

- Ensure all work areas, including tables and floors, are clean and well-organized.
- Follow proper hygiene standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
- **Assisting in Set-Up and Take-Down**:

- Help set up tables, buffets, and other serving stations for service or special events.
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup after service or events.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other team members, including kitchen staff and other attendants, to ensure seamless service.
- Assist colleagues during peak hours and help handle any unexpected issues to keep the service smooth.
- **Responding to Guest Needs**:

- Anticipate and respond to guest requests promptly.
- Handle complaints or issues with a positive attitude and escalate to a supervisor if necessary.
