Job Position Description
Understanding customer optical network and service models along with the proposed WaveSuite solution from multiple test perspectives
Working closely with team members executing the Agile Scrum Software Development Methodology integrating per sprint deliverables into a cohesive hardened release
Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance test infrastructure, automation coverage, network element simulation
Acting as a customer advocate to identify, characterize, trouble shoot and evaluate fixes for defects that may impact the customer experience
Planning, executing and tracking of all test and quality assurance activities for projects in an iterative delivery process, using judgment to strategically balance quality, schedule and cost
Working on an end-to-end system that integrates a GUI with third-party software with custom made APIs with back-end software that interacts with the optical networking equipment

**Qualifications**: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Have a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Have 5+ years of automation and manual testing experience, preferably using Agile methodologies with iterative deliverables
Are well-versed in a wide range of test domains (functional, system, scale, performance, security, etc.) with exposure to OSS/BSS, REST API and GUI systems
Are passionate about software quality with a proven track record of innovation, risk optimization, flexibility and resourcefulness while collaborating with the development team and advocating for customers
Can independently identify and analyze options, solve problems and make decisions based on organizational goals and business objectives
Have excellent troubleshooting skills, identifying, characterizing, and investigating issues and driving them to timely resolution working with internal peers and world-wide customer-facing teams
Understand networking and protocol concepts (transport, routing, cloud SDN), ideally with experience in optical networking (e.g. DWDM, OTN) and optical service architecture (e.g. L1CS).

Working with UNIX/Linux environments.
Delivering well tested user-focused software in a continuous integration environment.
**It would be amazing if you have experience in**:
Working in the telecommunications domain, shipping products to Tier-1 Carrier customers.
Apache Kafka or any Pub/Sub platforms.
Working with TDD/BDD/DDD
