**Subfamily Description**

Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilising knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

The Nokia Network Management Automation team provides Professional Services in support of real-world deployments of Advanced Solutions across the ION (IP/Optical Networks) Business Line product portfolio. The team is seeking a Network Automation Solutions Developer to help deliver services to Nokia's customer base in the areas of Service Provisioning, Service Automation, Monitoring, and Reporting. Our projects are worldwide, and we interact with both the customer and R&D,

**Responsibilities**:

- Technically Lead the Quality Assurance activities of customer specific software solutions in an end-to-end lab deployment
- Defining the test strategy, test cases, estimation, scheduling, execution and automation of tests.
- Responsible for bringing up the NMS, Router nodes involved to set-up the test environment required for the end-to-end solution validation.
- Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) post the delivery of the solution to the customer, which requires good understanding of the customer network deployment.
- Interact with support team to perform the escape analysis of the customer reported issues and strengthen the gaps in testing and test environment.
- Write and maintain documentation for internal purposes as well as for the customer.
- Interact with the customer when necessary

**Position Requirements**
- Four-year degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge in Linux, Cloud/Cloud-native, K8S/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of IP Networking and related protocols: OSPF, BGP, DHCP, MPLS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS, etc.
- Knowledge of network management and OSS concepts and basic protocols like SNMP and FCAPS functionality.
- Experience with Nokia products (7x50 Service Routers, 7705, 7210, 5620 SAM, 5670 RAM) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking & Network Function Virtualization concepts.
- Proficient in configuring the Network Management Systems, Routers and Switches to achieve the required target test configuration.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, investigating/reproducing issues, raising tickets and driving issues to timely resolution in a scrum environment working with peer testers and developers in different sites.
- Ability to produce comprehensive high-quality test strategies, test plans and test cases with accurately triaged and prioritized defect reports, with applied creativity and insight.

- Experience in customer-facing roles; ability to work independently on issues directly with the customer.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment.

**DESIRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Hands-on automation experience using Robot, Selenium and Python is an advantage.
- Experience working in a Professional Services team and delivering projects.
- Experience supporting live deployments on customer networks.
