**Job Description**:
As a Coffee Roaster, you are responsible for the art and science of transforming green coffee beans into aromatic and flavorful roasted coffee. Your role involves managing the roasting process, ensuring quality and consistency, and exploring new techniques to enhance coffee flavor profiles. Your responsibilities include:

- Roasting Operations: Operate coffee roasting equipment, including roasting machines, cooling trays, and monitoring systems, to roast green coffee beans to perfection. Monitor roast profiles, adjust roasting parameters, and ensure consistent roast quality and flavor development.
- Quality Control: Conduct sensory evaluations, cuppings, and quality checks to assess roast consistency, aroma, flavor, acidity, body, and balance. Identify defects, off-flavors, or inconsistencies in roasted coffee and take corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Roast Profile Development: Develop and refine roast profiles for different coffee varieties, origins, and blends, considering factors such as bean characteristics, moisture content, density, and desired flavor attributes. Experiment with roast levels, temperatures, and durations to achieve desired flavor profiles.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of green coffee beans, roasted coffee, and packaging materials to ensure adequate supply for production and sales. Monitor stock levels, track usage, and reorder supplies as needed to meet production demands.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate roasting equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct regular maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, equipment operating procedures, and regulatory requirements for food safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and best practices for coffee roasting operations.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor assistant roasters, production staff, and team members on coffee roasting techniques, equipment operation, quality control procedures, and safety protocols. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to foster skill development and proficiency.
- Product Development: Collaborate with coffee buyers, roastery managers, and product development teams to create new coffee blends, flavors, and specialty offerings. Participate in cupping sessions, tasting panels, and market research to identify consumer preferences and trends.
- Packaging and Labeling: Oversee packaging processes, including weighing, bagging, sealing, and labeling of roasted coffee products. Ensure accurate labeling, branding, and packaging design to reflect product quality, origin, and flavor characteristics.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, coffee enthusiasts, and retail staff to share knowledge about coffee roasting, brewing methods, and flavor profiles. Provide recommendations, answer questions, and offer tasting experiences to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications:

- Passion for coffee, with a deep appreciation for the craft of roasting and the nuances of coffee flavor profiles.
- Proven experience in coffee roasting, with knowledge of coffee bean varieties, origins, processing methods, and roast profiles.
- Strong sensory skills, including palate development, aroma detection, and flavor identification, with the ability to assess coffee quality through cupping and tasting.
- Technical proficiency in operating coffee roasting equipment, monitoring roast profiles, and troubleshooting roasting issues.
- Attention to detail, precision, and consistency in roasting practices to achieve desired flavor profiles and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules, roasting demands, and business priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in coffee roasting operations.
- Willingness to learn and experiment with new roasting techniques, equipment upgrades, and coffee processing innovations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy bags of green coffee beans and work in a production environment with heat, noise, and potential hazards.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
