Designation: Paralegal Associate
- Job Type : Permanent
- Shift : Night - 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
- Job location: Pune (Magarpatta City) (no travel provided by company)
- Working days: 5 days ( Work from office **)**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the clients' post judgment collections/recovery efforts which includes preparation of legal documents, communicating with various government administration officials, updating clients and maintaining case records.
- performing tasks for USA Legal Collection law firms. Tasks such as preparing garnishments, contacting courts, sheriffs, county offices.
- Requires excellent critical thinking, communication, organizational and research skills
- Draft and file legal documents such as subpoenas, affidavits, notices, discovery responses, medical record requests
- Research public records and other resources to locate parties, witnesses and other case related information
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Word Perfect, Adobe, and Outlook
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, and mathematics (e.g., interest rate calculations
- Detail oriented, able to multitask and manage time sensitive documents
- Capable of working independently and as a team player
- Preferred familiarity with the US Collections rules and regulations such as Fair Debt Collections Practices Act
- Preferred basic understanding of US legal system and court procedures, including model civil rules of procedure.

**Requirements**:

- Prepare court filings, recordings, and e-filing
- Communicate with Court Clerk, Sheriff’s Office, County Appraiser, and Recorder’s Office
- drafting/litigation - making/editing pleadings, dealing with pleadings, following court rules.
- Good knowledge of US Debt recovery process

**Skills**:

- good knowledge of USA banking/finance laws, good knowledge of USA legal lingo, good communication skills to work with court/govt officials - and role can be customized accordingly.
- internet savvy as it will require browsing/searching various websites (court, county property/appraiser, process server). As for the documents, most of the work will be handled either in MS Word or WordPerfect, and handling of PDFs.
- 2+ years’ experience in preparing legal responses, digging information out of legal documents (contract and MSA reviews are good, but more on civil litigation side) and familiarity with USA legal procedure even if they don't know Collections specific law. This role will require frequent interaction with USA attorneys (plaintiff/client) and potentially with defendant (but not as attorney).
- Fluent English communication to deal with US client

**Education**
- Law Degree Mandatory
- 2 years’ experience of managing US based portfolio and clients.

**Salary**: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
