**NURSING CARE OF PATIENTS**:
Ø Assess the total needs of patients and prepare plan of nursing care.

Ø Admission and discharge of patients.

Ø Demonstrate and carry out efficient nursing care, taking care of personal comfort and toilet of patients, administration of drugs and treatment, observation and recording of vital parameters.

Ø Supervise patient’s diet.

Ø Attending rounds with Medical/Nursing personnel.

Ø Assist Medical staff in examination of patients and treatment.

Ø Participate and help with clinical investigations/procedures.

Ø Demonstrate and carry out preoperative and post-operative care of patients.

Ø Maintenance of patient’s records.

Ø Care of patient’s personal effects in accordance with hospital rules.

Ø Giving and receiving reports.

Ø Follow prescribed rules in case of accident or death of a patient.

Ø Give information and health education to patients and their attendants.

Ø Intimation to nursing supervisors of any emergency or unusual occurrence in the ward.

**WARD MANAGEMENT**:
Ø Handing over and takeover charge of patients at the end of the shift.

Ø Assignment of work to nursing staff nurse and PCA staff.

Ø Co-ordinate and facilitate work of other staff, e.g. physical therapist, social worker, dietician, voluntary worker etc.

Ø Maintaining good inter personal relationship among all categories of staff and with patients and their relatives.

Ø Maintain cleanliness of ward, its annexes and environments. Proper upkeep and repairs of linen and ward equipment.

Ø Make indents for drugs, surgical supplies, stores and issue.

Ø Keep custody of dangerous drugs and record of their administration.

Ø Daily check of emergency drugs and life savings equipment’s.

Ø Maintenance of stock registers inventories.

Ø Investigate complaints if any.

**TEACHING AND SUPERVISION**:
Ø Orientation of new staff and student nurses.

Ø Participate in service education of nursing personnel and attend staff meetings.

Ø Impart planned and incidental teaching.

Ø Supervise staff nurse and trainee nurses.

Ø Supervise PCA staff.

Ø Consult and co-operate with nursing tutor in arranging clinical teaching.

Perform any other duty as may be specified from time to time.

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
