A Bookkeeper/Administrator is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting overall administrative tasks for an organization.
- This role combines bookkeeping duties like managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports with administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, scheduling meetings, and providing general support to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
Recording and categorizing daily financial transactions.
Maintaining and reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Preparing financial reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Administrative Support:
Managing office supplies and equipment.
- Scheduling meetings and appointments.
Handling correspondence and communication.
Providing general administrative support to staff.
- Compliance and Reporting:
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Assisting with tax preparation and filings.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Working with other team members to ensure accurate financial information.
Communicating with clients and vendors as needed.
Other Tasks:
- May be involved in payroll processing.
May assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- May maintain personnel records.
May handle petty cash and general ledger maintenance.
- Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
