**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Sales Representative Roles & Responsibility
1. Understanding Government Needs:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand the specific needs, challenges, and regulations of government agencies.
- Identify Opportunities: Monitor government bids, tenders, and procurement announcements to identify potential sales opportunities.
2. Building Relationships:
- Networking: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within government agencies.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with government officials and departments to build trust and establish the company as a reliable partner.
3. Proposal Management:
- RFP/RFQ Preparation: Prepare and submit proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Bid Writing: Develop detailed and compliant bid documents that clearly address the requirements outlined by the government.
4. Compliance and Regulations:
- Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure that all sales processes and proposals comply with government regulations, standards, and procurement policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all interactions, proposals, and contracts in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for targeting government contracts and projects.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and government spending patterns to identify and capitalize on potential opportunities.
6. Sales Process Management:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with government agencies to secure contracts and agreements.
7. Customer Service and Support:
- Post-Sales Support: Provide ongoing support to government clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues that arise.
- Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from government clients to improve future proposals and service delivery.
8. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, such as legal, compliance, and project management, to ensure alignment and successful contract execution.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other sales representatives and departments to share insights and strategies.
9. Reporting and Documentation:
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, including the status of bids and contracts.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all government-related interactions and sales activities.
10. Training and Development:
- Professional Development: Stay updated on changes in government procurement policies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Training: Participate in training programs related to government sales and compliance.
In summary, a B2G Sales Representative is responsible for navigating the complexities of government procurement, building and maintaining relationships with government officials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and effectively managing the sales process to secure contracts and foster long-term partnerships.
**What We’re Looking For**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and quotas.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Experience in B2B sales of edtech products and travelling is a must.
Onboarding New Clients and Converting Leads in to success.
Knowledge of the EdTech or IoT industry is a plus.
