Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lighting Designer at Trulux solutions Pvt Ltd in Delhi, India. As a Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lighting concepts for various projects, collaborating with clients and team members to ensure the successful execution of lighting designs, and staying updated on industry trends and technologies.

Roles and Responsibilties

Produce creative lighting desing concepts from proposal to detail design stage, Including plans and design details preparing specifications and schedules, build mockups,prepare sketch design proposals and liaise with architects, interior designers and equipment suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lighting Concept Development**:

- Collaborate with clients, architects, interior designers, or directors to understand the vision and purpose of the project.
- Create design concepts and themes that align with the client's objectives.
- **Technical Planning and Design**:

- Develop detailed lighting plans, including layouts, fixture specifications, and placement.
- Ensure the lighting design adheres to safety codes, energy efficiency standards, and project budgets.
- Use software like AutoCAD, Dialux, or Revit to model and simulate lighting effects.
- **Selection of Fixtures and Equipment**:

- Recommend appropriate lighting fixtures, controls, and technologies for the project.
- Stay updated on the latest lighting trends, materials, and energy-efficient solutions.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Work with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the lighting design.
- Provide guidance during installation and troubleshooting.
- **Project Management**:

- Prepare cost estimates and schedules for the project.
- Supervise the implementation of the lighting design to ensure the final output matches the original concept.
- **Creativity and Problem-Solving**:

- Design innovative lighting effects to create desired moods or highlight architectural features.
- Resolve technical challenges during the design and installation phases.
- **Documentation and Presentations**:

- Prepare visual presentations, sketches, or renderings for client approval.
- Maintain detailed records of designs, modifications, and project outcomes.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, or AGi32).
- Knowledge of lighting physics, color theory, and control systems.
- **Creative Thinking**:

- Ability to conceptualize and execute visually compelling lighting designs.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Ensuring accuracy in plans, calculations, and installations.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and present ideas convincingly.
- **Educational Background**:

- Degree or certification in lighting design, electrical engineering, interior design, or a related field.
- **Industry Awareness**:

- Understanding of trends, technologies, and sustainability practices in lighting.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in lighting design, with a portfolio of completed projects.

Proficiency in lighting design software (DIALux, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp).

Strong knowledge of lighting principles, color theory, materials, and photometrics.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:
Certification in lighting design (e.g., CLD, LC) is a plus.

Experience in smart lighting, automation, and energy-efficient design.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
