**THE ROLE**

Product governance is the process of creating, maintaining, and retiring financial products in a way that ensures the customer receives a product that is appropriate for their immediate and future financial goals. Product governance principles impose certain responsibilities on providers and distributors of financial products, including investments, insurance policies, loans, lines of credit, and bank accounts. At the core of those responsibilities is the principle that providers and distributors must treat customers fairly and provide good value throughout the product’s life cycle.

**OPPORTUNITIES**

**Client Portfolio Governance**
- Monitor all client projects from sales cycle right through to client go-live.
- Ensure that the client project processes (eg., triage process) are adhered and for any deviations the reasons are clearly captured in the corporate tool.
- Ensure data quality for the client projects in the corporate tool.

**Strategic Portfolio Governance**
- Monitor the progress of all Strategic Internal initiatives (internal projects) where Product Management have committed to deliver products or functionality to the market.
- Ensure that the strategic project processes (eg., budget approval process) are adhered and for any deviations the reasons are clearly captured in the corporate tool.
- Publish the status of key commitments from Product to Sales. Clearly articulate the reasons for slippage, the RAG for all key commitments.
- Govern the budget usage and report on the overruns for the Delivery Manager to request for additional budget.
- Ensure data quality for the strategic projects in the corporate tool.

**Go To Market Governance**
- Monitor all GTM plans to ensure that transparency is maintained regarding the status of our ability to market, sell and implement new Products.
- Conduct review meetings with Pre-sales, Services, Marketing, Support, Legal teams to track and monitor the progress of their activities.
- Conduct review meetings with the GTM Plan Managers to understand if any Strategic Projects requires a GTM activity and also to track the Product Readiness (eg.,
- Demo capability, Integration, Security, Performance/Benchmark Testing etc )
- Drive Data Quality of PPM Tool
- Ensure that the corporate PPM tool is used for the project tracking and there is at most transparency in the project status.
- Ensure that the projects are structured as per the set guidelines and all information are accurate.
- Ensure point of origin for a project and it’s deliverables are clearly captured.
- Ensure that there is always a sync between SDLC and PPM tool to track the for project progress.
