As a Purchase Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to procure the necessary materials and components for our sheet metal fabrication processes. Your role will include managing the purchase of sheet metal, bought-out parts like nuts and bolts, and essential electrical appliances such as grinders. You will ensure that all purchases meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Source and evaluate multiple suppliers for sheet metal, hardware components, and electrical appliances required for fabrication.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and parts to meet production schedules.
- Maintain and update a database of approved suppliers, including their pricing, delivery timelines, and quality records.
- Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking, ensuring optimal use of company resources.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Review and interpret purchase requisitions and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the correct items are ordered.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Stay updated on market trends and developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or in a similar role, preferably in the sheet metal fabrication industry.
- Proficient knowledge of purchasing sheet metal, hardware components (nuts, bolts, etc.), and electrical appliances (e.g., grinders).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing software is an advantage.
