**ABOUT THE JOB**:
As a Receivables Trainee, you’ll support the finance team in ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded, matched, and resolved. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to dive into the world of financial operations.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
**Transaction Matching & Verification**: Reconcile financial data between internal systems and external sources (e.g., customer portals, bank statements, vendor reports).
**Discrepancy Investigation**: Identify mismatches, investigate root causes, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
**Reporting & Documentation**:Maintain reconciliation logs, prepare summary reports, and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance.
**System Updates**:Update reconciliation status in ERP systems (e.g., Navision) and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
**Collaboration**:Work closely with invoicing, credit control, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of open items.
**Process Improvement**:Suggest improvements to reconciliation workflows, contribute to automation and help streamline reporting.
**Learning & Development**:Participate in training sessions to enhance your understanding of reconciliation tools, financial systems, and compliance standards
**What We’re Looking For**
**Educational Background**: A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA preferred).
**Technical Proficiency**: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
**Accounting Knowledge**: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial workflows.
**Analytical & Detail Orientation**: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
**Communication Skills**: Clear and professional written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
**Eagerness to Learn**: A proactive mindset with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced financial environment.
