Introduction
As a business analyst your role will be helping to manage, change and plan for the future functional requirements in line with the banks goals. This could be for one specific project, or multiple projects within the organisation. As Senior Business Analyst will need to understand the current organisational situation, identify future needs and create solutions to help meet those needs, in relation to information and software systems.

The role will need to demonstrate excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and its operation, as you'll be helping the organisation to develop its functions, services and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.

You'll also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.

This hands-on role will be responsible for business analysis, requirements capture, prototyping, business solutioning to enable project technical delivery team understand functional requirements

Business Analyst is accountable to collate, own requirements specification, prepare Functional Specifications including Data-Mapping document. The role would be working on a single complex project, or multiple standard projects, as Senior Business Analyst, collaborating with Architects, Solution Designers, Technical Delivery Manager, developers and testing teams.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for some someone who (in priority order):

- Is fully able to write technical documentation to an excellent standard - experience of doing this and a willingness to do this is key here. we want to reduce the amount of time that the experienced designers currently need to take to peer review ‘less experienced’ designers designs.
- Has full understanding of REST standards and able to write RAML, SWAGGER, JSON etc.
- Has a good awareness of the architectural standards surrounding rest api’ s - microservices only. no monoliths
- Has an understanding of Card backends DBs like Triumph - or can pick the Triumph/Cards concept up quickly.
- As analyst must support functional designing and solutioning ranging from migration, app development, automated monitoring, and provide guidance on testing complex frameworks and business functionalities
- Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
- work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function, or product provided
- use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
- consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
- identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations
- gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business
- communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern
- produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary
- support staff and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues
