Import / Export / Domestic Operations

Job profile - Full time

Should have knowledge of imports and exports by Air / Sea shipments / Custom clearance / Road transportation / Rail / CFS activities

Hybrid structure whereby work from anywhere allowed

Salary structure - Basic salary + Incentive of every shipment which assisted in successful operations from day 1

Incentive will be a very simple calculation of 3% of the profit for assisting in operations for new client + 2% of the profit for assisting in the operations for every shipment with that client. Maximum commission which can be received will be at INR 7000 per shipment
- Commission payment only after 100% Money collection of that particular shipment from customer

If by chances you manage to secure any client independently which consists of pricing + sales front + operations front then

Incentive will be a very simple calculation of 6% of the profit for onboarding new client + 4% of the profits for every shipment with that client. Maximum commission which can be received will be at INR 7000 per shipment
- Commission payment only after 100% Money collection of that particular shipment from customer

**Knowledge required**

Will need to have knowledge of operations for all import and export air shipments

Will need to have knowledge of operations for all import and export sea shipments such as Less than container loads, Full container loads, Open top container, Flatrack container, Super rack container, Reefer container, Cold chain logistics, Perishable logistics, Hazardous logistics, Iso tank logistics, Liquid transportation, Flexi tank logistics, Vessel Chartering, Breakbulk shipping, Bulk shipping, MAFI shipping, Barging, Coastal shipping, Project forwarding

Should have good knowledge for all rail movements whether import / export or domestic rail movement

Should have basic knowledge on Third party logistics, Fourth party logistics, Fifth party logistics, Port handling, Container freight station, Free trade warehousing zone, Reverse logistics, Ecommerce logistics, Cross border, Logistics Parks, Warehousing, Full load transportation, Part load transportation, Fleet management, Special economic zone, Crane hiring, Trade finance, Packaging, Insurance, Supply chain Consultancy

**Scope of work**

Company will not have an MTO or IATA license so all operations will be outsourced to larger Freight forwarding companies for 1st year for time being. You will just need to followup with them. On rare cases where required operations will be done inhouse for exports, imports or domestic transportation, you will need to handle 100% operations

Once sales support hands over to your company you will be responsible for complete end to end operations and monitoring of the shipment. Manage shipments end-to-end from booking at origins to delivery for ocean, air and domestic shipments.

Daily meeting for understanding operations issues

Should have good contacts with CHA for custom clearance

Should have good contact with transporters for placement of vehicles

Followup with accounts for billing of the customers in timely manner

Thorough knowledge of Export and Import Documentation ( Air / Ocean )

Directly responsible for reduction in cost by monitoring per shipment cost and increase in productivity.

Daily DSR to customer for every shipment

Expert in handling documentation for all export, import and domestic shipments

Responsible for the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements,

Co-ordinating with all agents worldwide

Must have a better than average understanding of Import & Export Regulations and other government agency regulations that govern exports.

Foresee and resolve any issues that could arise during the shipping process

Create solid SOP by client

Few cases if required will need to quote clients directly ( After getting costs approved by head of department )

At later stage if there are clients in and around the city you are in then those clients will be in your scope and you will be the Key account manager of those clients whereby you will need to meet few of them occasionally and front end those accounts.
