**Job Description: Chief of Staff**
- **Job Objective**

Work closely with MD for relentless growth of the organization, assist the MD in optimized decision making to maximize the impact in Operations, Sales, Relationship-building, Finance & Strategy, conduct secondary research on selected topics and provide insight to the top management and help develop MKU into a global leader in defense personal protective space
- **Key Responsibility Areas**

**Execution**
- Assist senior management in achieving company objectives in all aspects of the business
- Work closely with the MD of the organization on deep problem-solving projects
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental Heads; escalate issues at the right moment for MD to take decisions
- Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
- Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of tasks from addressing key issues in project execution, material planning, manufacturing delays to escalate the same to the MD based on criticality
- Oversee the handling of inquiries by Sales team and assist the team in developing action plans to address them
- Work with Senior management on the followings: set annual & quarterly Targets & Objectives, identify & solve challenges structurally to help achieve these Objectives, setup processes to drive efficiencies across organization
- Identify new initiatives and new businesses that MKU could expand into; identify growth opportunities & determine their prioritization
- Participate in regular meetings with HR to discuss potential staffing issues and see to it that they are addressed properly - keep track of progress until resolved
- Work with the VP Finance in project budget costing and monitor key financial metrics
- Monitor Management MIS dashboard, ensure timely data collection and update of the same
- Coordinate execution of strategic initiatives such as Goal Cascading and setting up of KRA/KPIs
- Access inquiries directed to the leadership team, determine proper course of action and direct to appropriate individual to manage
- Design and run effective review forums such as weekly meetings and monthly steering committee reviews
- Review Internal and External Communications: Draft company newsletters, reports, pitch decks, speeches, and presentations for internal and external purpose as the requirement of MD
- Monitor information flow: Sometimes act as a gatekeeper, ensuring MD’s involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment

**Coordination and Reporting**
- Assist the MD in day to day activities
- Coordinate with the COO regarding challenges in project execution of orders
- Coordinate with the Sales Head regarding visibility of potential orders and dispatch dates of ongoing orders
- Coordinate with VP Finance regarding project budget costing and ageing inventory monitoring

**Meeting**
- Manage weekly MD’s meetings with Sales, Operations, Finance and HR, note down MOMs, prepare action points, set target dates and drive the same towards completion
- Note down Steering Committee MOMs, prepare action points and drive the same towards completion
- Acts as the communication arm for the MD with other executives in the organization, clients or major stakeholders
- Maintain confidentiality of all discussions, decisions of top management including data and reports

**Development**
- Lead Change Management to incorporate a culture of excellence in collaboration with Human Resources across the organization
- Complete required training hours as prescribed by HR
- Conduct performance appraisals on time

**Qualification**

Min. qualification required

BE/B Tech (IIT/NIT or similar Tier 1 institute) and MBA (IIM/ISB or similar Tier 1 institute)

Other desired qualifications

Previous experience in CEO’s office/Chief of Staff/Corporate Strategy roles with reputed organizations

**Relevant Experience**

Min. no. of years of relevant experience required
- At least 8-10 years of overall work experience
- 3-5 years in Corporate Strategy/Special Initiatives or similar roles

**Knowledge and Skills Required**
- Knowledge of defense manufacturing industry, processes and products
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
- Experience with budget management
- Communication & inter-personal skills
- Attention for detail and high level of accuracy while managing complex task
- A strategic and analytical mind
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- ERP (NAV or any other systems)

**Salary**: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
