**Responsibilities**:
- Data Architecture and Design:
- Lead the design and architecture of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Define and implement data models, data flows, and data storage solutions based on business requirements.
**Azure Data Services**:
- Expertise in leveraging Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and others to build comprehensive data solutions.
- Design and implement data pipelines for data processing and transformation.
**Big Data and Analytics**:
- Architect and implement solutions for big data processing and analytics using Azure technologies.
- Utilize tools like Azure HDInsight, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Factory for large-scale data processing.
**Data Governance and Security**:
- Implement data governance practices and ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements.
- Design and implement access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms for data protection.
**Data Integration and ETL**:
- Develop and implement efficient data integration and ETL processes.
- Ensure seamless data flow between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
**Performance Optimization**:
- Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct performance tuning and implement best practices for data storage and retrieval.
**Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to data engineers and analysts.
**Documentation**:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, data models, and data processes.
- Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date with changes in the data environment.
