Sub-Contractor - Fire Safety Expert

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Expert to join our team

Specific roles
- Conduct fire safety risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and verify compliance with local and country regulations.
- Conduct fire safety audits for LRQA specifically identifying hazards related to Fire Prevention, Protection, and Life Safety in accordance with the Indian National Building Codes.
- To review the fire safety plan, which includes occupant information, control of fire hazards, maintenance of fire protection systems, and evacuation procedures for the building.
- To verify compliance with the Indian National Building Code of India 2016 Part - IV “Fire & Life Safety”.
- To review the fire safety license as per Govt. of India regulations of the client project sites.
- The output will be a detailed report which will highlight the gaps observed.

Within authorised area of specialism, undertake business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures.
- Lead multi-disciplinary assessment teams effectively, ensuring that the visit is completed within the agreed timescales, and co-ordinating team findings to reach conclusions and produce the visit report.
- Produce high quality visit reports.
- Pass leads and opportunities to appropriate sales colleagues.
- Pass client feedback and insights to appropriate internal recipients
- Stay abreast of technical developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records and producing them as required.
- Participate fully in Assessor meetings, presenting and coaching others in own area of expertise as appropriate.
- Actively build strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in fire science, safety management, engineering, or a related field.
- Certification as a Fire Safety Specialist, Fire Inspector, or similar preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire safety, risk assessment, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions:

- Position involves travel at client locations.
- Must be able to perform on-site inspections, which may require physical activities such as walking, climbing, etc.
