Corrugation Operator

The Corrugation Operator in the Printing and Packaging Industry is responsible for operating and maintaining the corrugating machine that produces corrugated board used in packaging. This role ensures the efficient and accurate production of high-quality corrugated materials, which are integral to the packaging of printed products. The operator works closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure that all products meet industry standards and client specifications.

Required Education : ITI/Diploma in Printing and Packaging with min 3 to 5 Years Experience as Corrugation Operator Profile in Packaging Industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Operate the corrugation machine to manufacture corrugated boards from raw materials such as paper and adhesives.
- Monitor machine settings and adjust controls to maintain consistent quality and output, adhering to production schedules.
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure proper machine functioning and quality of the finished corrugated boards.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load raw materials, including paper, liners, and adhesives, into the corrugating machine.
- Ensure the correct materials are used for different board grades and specifications.
- Monitor material usage and inventory levels to avoid production delays.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect corrugated boards throughout the production process for quality, including checking for defects, weight, thickness, and proper adhesion.
- Perform tests to ensure that corrugated boards meet required strength and durability standards for packaging.
- Work with the quality control team to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the final product.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance on the corrugating machine to ensure it operates smoothly, including cleaning and lubricating machine components.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process, including adjusting machine settings and resolving minor mechanical problems.
- Report major machine malfunctions to maintenance staff for further repairs.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating the corrugating machine, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to the use of machinery, chemicals, and waste disposal.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Complete daily production logs, including quantities produced, machine settings, and material usage.
- Track and report any machine downtime, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on the corrugating machine.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other operators, machine attendants, and production staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time production.
- Communicate with the quality control team to address product specifications and ensure that quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure that finished corrugated boards are properly stored and ready for shipment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
