Job Title: Commis II/iii (Continental Cuisine)
Location: Bakery House, Gurgaon sector-30
Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of continental dishes according to the standards set by the Head Chef.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Support the kitchen team in various duties, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and plating dishes.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
- Assist in the storage and rotation of food items according to established guidelines.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas for menu development.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a continental cuisine setting.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.
