**Job Description: NPD Quality Engineer (Machine Shop)**

**Location**: HADAPSAR, PUNE

**Role Overview**:
The NPD (New Product Development) Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance and control during the new product development phase in a machine shop environment. This includes planning, testing, and implementing quality standards to meet customer and company requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Planning & Execution**:

- Develop and implement quality assurance plans for NPD projects in the machine shop.
- Conduct risk assessments and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for new products.
- **Product Validation**:

- Ensure adherence to customer specifications and quality standards during the prototyping and initial production stages.
- Conduct first article inspections, process audits, and capability studies.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with design, production, and manufacturing teams to address quality-related challenges during NPD.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to align quality expectations.
- **Documentation & Compliance**:

- Maintain documentation of quality standards, procedures, and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Analyze quality performance data and implement corrective actions to enhance processes.
- Drive initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce defects.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Background**: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field.
- **Experience**:4-5 years** in quality assurance, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, APQP, PPAP, and MSA.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments like CMM, micrometers, and calipers.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- **Soft Skills**: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
