**Job Title: Restaurant Captain**

**Department**: Food & Beverage / Restaurant Operations
**Reports To**: Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager

**Job Summary**:
The **Restaurant Captain** is responsible for overseeing the dining experience, ensuring excellent customer service, and coordinating with the service team to maintain smooth restaurant operations. They act as a key link between guests and staff, ensuring orders are efficiently handled, and service standards are met.

**Key Responsibilities:Guest Service & Experience**
- Greet and welcome guests, escorting them to their tables.
- Present menus, take orders, and recommend menu items based on guest preferences.
- Ensure food and beverages are served in a timely and professional manner.
- Address guest concerns or complaints efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.

**Operations & Coordination**
- Supervise and guide service staff to maintain high service standards.
- Coordinate between the kitchen and service team to ensure seamless food and beverage delivery.
- Monitor table settings, cleanliness, and overall restaurant ambiance.
- Assist in managing reservations and table assignments.

**Team Leadership & Training**
- Train and mentor junior staff on service procedures, menu knowledge, and etiquette.
- Conduct daily briefings with the service team regarding menu specials, promotions, and important service details.
- Ensure staff adhere to hygiene, safety, and service protocols.

**Sales & Upselling**
- Promote special menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Provide recommendations on food and wine pairings.
- Handle billing and ensure accurate transactions.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Previous experience as a **Restaurant Captain / Supervisor** in a hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or upscale casual dining setup.
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service, menu items, and dining etiquette.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management diploma preferred.
- **2-3 years** of experience in a restaurant service role, with at least **1 year** in a supervisory position.

**Work Environment**:

- Fast-paced restaurant setting with standing and walking for long hours.
- Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
- Interaction with guests, kitchen staff, and management teams.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
