**Job Description: Dance Teacher**

**Position**: Dance Teacher
**Classes**: Classes 1 to 12
**Location**: Winmore Academy

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Curriculum Design and Lesson Delivery**:

- Develop and deliver engaging dance lessons for students across various age groups, focusing on foundational techniques and creative movement.
- Teach multiple dance styles such as classical, contemporary, hip-hop, and folk (or as per school requirements).
- Introduce students to the cultural significance of dance forms and encourage artistic expression.
- **Choreography and Performance**:

- Choreograph and direct performances for school events, assemblies, and cultural programs.
- Ensure students are performance-ready, coordinating costumes, music, and stage rehearsals.
- **Student Development**:

- Encourage students to develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork through dance.
- Identify and nurture individual talents and provide opportunities for advanced learning.
- **Event Participation and Competitions**:

- Prepare students for inter-school and external dance competitions.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate dance into school-wide programs and events.
- **Classroom Management and Safety**:

- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensure safety during dance sessions by teaching proper techniques and maintaining a disciplined atmosphere.
- **Professional Development and Collaboration**:

- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in dance education.
- Collaborate with music, drama, and event teams for interdisciplinary projects.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Certification in specialized dance styles from recognized institutions is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Previous teaching experience in schools, dance academies, or workshops.
- Experience choreographing performances for events and competitions.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in multiple dance forms.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Strong ability to inspire and engage students across age groups.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail in choreography and event planning.
