Vmware Administrator

**VMware (NOC, SOC, GSD, RDMS)**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- 3+yrs in VMware Server Administrator
- Managing Virtualization Environment - VMWare ESX, VMWare VSphere, Virtual Center 5.x, 6.x, 7.x
- Installation, Configuration, upgradation and Administration and Trouble shooting of ESX, Vsphere, Virtual Center 5.x. 6.x (Windows and Appliance), 7.x
- Creating Baselines and upgrade/patch ESXi hosts, Creating and Managing Virtual Machines and Templates, deploy VM’s from templates and allocate resources
- Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributive Resource Scheduling (DRS),Configured Resource Pool, V Motion, Alerts, Alarms, NTP.
- Migration of Virtual Machines using V Motion, Performing Snapshots, Cloning, Cold Migrations and Hot Migrations.
- Monitoring of Virtual Machine’s & ESX servers (CPU, Memory, Disk and Network Utilization) ,
- Creation of Virtual Switches, Ports and Port groups and Fixing issues relating to vmotion such as compatibility issues with help of event log.
- Setting up Users and Groups for access to the Virtual Center, Performance tuning of VMware servers, Virtual sessions and management of server resources between Virtual Machines.
- Troubleshooting of ESX, Virtual Center, Troubleshooting ESX host with CLI, RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission.
- P2V, V2V and P2P migrations using VMware Converter, Planning and implementing fixes / Patches
- Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers
- Root Cause & System Log Analysis, Troubleshooting virtual machine issues
- Act on Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.
- To be able to work in 24 x 7 Environment in shift roster, Willing to work in shifts..

**Desired Qualification**:

- Basic Education must have a Bachelor’s degree
- Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
- Understanding of ticketing systems.
- Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
- Previous NOC/GSD/RDMS/SOC experience will be a value add.

**Desired Experience**:

- Should have 4+ yrs. of experience in Managing VMWare.

**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
