**Job description**:

- **CNC Programming Proficiency**: Expertise in CNC programming languages (G-code, etc.) and CAD/CAM software.
- **Blueprint Reading**: Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machining issues.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, materials, and CNC machine operation.
- **Mechanical Aptitude**: A good understanding of mechanical principles and machinery.
- **Mathematics**: Proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, and other mathematical concepts relevant to CNC programming.
- **Software Proficiency**: Experience with CAD/CAM software for generating toolpaths and machining programs.
- **Communication**: Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and production teams.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in programming and machine setup.
- **Experience**: Relevant experience in CNC programming and New Product Development (NPD).
- **Education**: A high school diploma or equivalent is often sufficient, but some employers may prefer a degree or certification in engineering or machining.
