Kindergarten Admission Counselor

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide information to parents and guardians about our kindergarten program, curriculum, teaching philosophy, and extracurricular activities.
- Conduct tours of the kindergarten facilities and classrooms for prospective parents and their children, answering any questions they may have.
- Coordinate and conduct kindergarten readiness assessments or screenings for prospective students, as needed.
- Collaborate with the kindergarten teaching team to assess the developmental needs of incoming students and ensure appropriate placement.
- Build and maintain relationships with local preschools, childcare centers, and community organizations to promote our kindergarten program and recruit prospective families.
- Organize and participate in kindergarten orientation sessions and parent information meetings to introduce families to our school community and provide important transition information.
- Serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, and school administration to address any concerns or questions related to the admissions process.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, kindergarten admissions trends, and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with young children and families, preferably in a preschool or kindergarten setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and parents in a warm and supportive manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing admissions paperwork and records.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in kindergarten education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with families.
