**Purpose of the role**

The scientists in the Statistics and Analytics Program Area will collaborate with US and India GKS team members to deliver high value analytics work that advances ITQ initiatives in consumer product research, health and nutrition science, research and development, and quality improvement.

The Data Scientist II in this program area is expected to: take ownership of the projects, build database pipelines leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Analyze data for trends and patterns; partner effectively with worldwide ITQ clients; create impactful analytics and visualization deliverables; and manage multiple projects independently or with guidance.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

70%of Time-Excellent Technical Work
- Independently work on projects and take ownership of the deliverables.
- Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources and Use machine learning/deep learning/Computer-vision tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
- Carrying out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data and Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems
- Analyze large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions and build visualization tool using Shiny or Dash.
- Develop effective strategies for programming and data analysis based on client consultations and project briefs.
- Create high-quality programs for data preparation, data cleaning, analysis, and results validation.
- Employ sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
- Create accurate and clear summary tables, visualizations, reports, and models that convey the required information and insights.
- Integrating multiple systems and data sets to discover new insights.

- Work effectively with clients to identify client needs and success criteria, and translate into clear project objectives, timelines, and plans.
- Be responsive and timely in sharing project updates, responding to client queries, and delivering on project commitments.
- Clearly communicate analysis, conclusions, insights, and conclusions to clients using written reports and real-time meetings.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum Degree Requirements: Masters from an accredited university
- Minimum 4 years of related experience required.

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

For the Statistics and Analytics Program Area:

- Good understanding of building statistical models and generating insights.
- Working experience in data visualization tools such R (Shiny), Dash, Tableau.
- Working knowledge of statistical programming software R or Python is required.
- Working experience in GCP is a plus.
- Experience in working on a project from inception to end is desirable.
