**Job Profile**:

- Conducting preliminary research on available data from government databases/documents and other sources.
- Understanding trends and developing monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Coordinating and undertaking needs assessments, baseline-endline surveys, impact studies, etc.
- Setting up simple systems to manage information/data generated through the M&E activities.
- Interpreting data, analyzing results and trends using statistical techniques where appropriate and documenting the findings.
- Generating high quality formal analytical reports on key program delivery outcomes as per defined calendar.
- Designing outputs and presentations based on analysis to disseminate knowledge and information to various stakeholders including programme management/ teachers/ Government officials.
- Conducting periodic data quality assessments through pattern and outlier analysis to highlight possible risks in reporting that data.

**Preferred Educational Background**:
MA in Education/Development/ B.Ed or degree in a related field of study.

**Experience and Skills**:

- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in M&E/data analytics/data visualization/ data management and research is preferred. Demonstrated analytical and assessment skills of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in working with spreadsheets is required, especially in visualization.
- Strong skills in data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of statistical analysis software would be a bonus.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills in English. Proficiency in Kannada is useful.
- Keenness to explore new processes and technologies.
- Deep understanding of and interest in education and Indian social contexts.
- People skills and ability to work with a team are essential.

**Other details**:

- The place of work will be Bengaluru, with occasional travel across Karnataka and India.
