About the role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to assist in managing BJS’s social media platforms and communication strategies. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in social media management. The intern will assist in planning, developing, and managing content and campaigns for the organization’s social media platforms, while contributing to meaningful social change. You will gain valuable insights into social media marketing, content creation, and digital communications.

Key responsibilities
- Support in developing engaging social media campaigns.
- Assist in creating and curating content for various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and queries across social media channels. Conduct research on current social media trends and present insights to the team. Collaborate with graphic designers and content writers to create high-quality posts.
- Help track campaign performance and generate basic analytics reports.
- Identify and engage with potential social media influencers to strengthen BJS’s online presence.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to brainstorm and implement innovative ideas to boost engagement.
- Assist in maintaining an active online presence and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.

Education & Expertise
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with a creative mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for content creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite, or any equivalent.
- Knowledge of SEO basics and Google Analytics is a plus
