Back Up and Storage Administrator

**Overview**:
Expert knowledge in Commvault backup solution
Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup environment including Backup servers, backup storage, network configuration and clients
Configuration of backup solution on requested servers
Configuration or database backups like oracle, SQL, DB2 etc
Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines
Performing disaster recovery tests
Having at least basic knowledge of Windows and Unix OS administration
Having at least basic knowledge of Bash, Shell and/or PowerShell scripting
Creating backup reports and alerts as per requirement.
Create and update documentation; actively build teams knowledgebase
Troubleshooting backup issues related to VMs and flat files
Troubleshooting backup issues related to IBM DB2, Oracle, SAP and Microsoft SQL databases
Troubleshooting communication/functional issues against Media Agent and Commserve.
Commvault Backup L2/L3 resource with good Hands-on experience with 6-10 Years of experience.
This position requires a good hands-on experience of Commvault backup tool and other related technologies e.g. SAN, NAS, Tape Backup etc...
Provide storage provisioning for NAS/CAS/SAN systems
Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed
Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment
Storage Array/NAS Performance Tuning
Requires expertise with the design, configuration, and administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting for NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp and EMC Isilon storage arrays
Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols
Play a key role in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy, ensuring our designs are considered by using NetApp SnapMirror and Snapshot plus Isilon SyncIQ and SnapshotIQ technology
Perform change management and incident management for enterprise storage systems
Develop an understanding of project engagement processes (Service Readiness) and partner with project teams on Conditions of Satisfaction deliverables including support documentation
