Officer, Donor Engagement

Position Overview:
This position would be part of the Deputy Country Director team and would be acting as the coordinating unit/liaison between the Development team and the India country office of Room to Read India Trust. This position will play an active part in the Communication team at INCO. This is a strategic role that requires multiple traits and competencies such as account management, strategic communication, Report writing, Donor management, etc. This position will report to the Deputy Country Director office and will serve as a manager to Associate, Donor Engagement.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for direct coordination between the Development team and the India team of Room to Read India Trust.- Responsible for coordination of field visits for key stakeholders such as Donors and senior Government officials.- In cooperation with Program Teams, take responsibility and provides overall logístical coordination to facilitate and host field visits for donor across the different programs implemented by Room to Read India Trust.- Develop site visit itineraries and ensure that all final itineraries are being communicated to relevant people and are being followed during the field visit- Responsible for reviewing field visit requests and follow up with the development team with any queries.- Orient’s school staff and RtR field staff on the format of the field visit including the talking points.- Ensures to follow best practices for hosting donors and highlighting programs.- Be a RtR spokesperson during donor visits by being able to accurately and confidently convey RtR’s message and educational situation in country.- Act as the main point of contact for the Global Office donor engagement team on ad hoc projects and requests for information.- Single-handedly manage PR and local awareness activities.- Assist in and build relations and improve collaboration with the donor and relevant like-minded organizations.- Provide donors with information and suggestions on hotels, restaurants, and local attractions.- Assist in managing and implementing a proactive communication channel to enhance RTR relationships with donors, government, and other stakeholders.- To propose and seek requisite permissions for social media posts on Donor engagement.- Play an active role in preparing a roadmap to onboards donors in Room to Read run Campaign

Reporting and Documentation:
- Responsible for sharing the Project Completion Report including managing photography of project sites to be shared with the India Development team and state team.- Ensures to take feedback from the Donor on the visit.- Responsible for tracking data on the field visit and providing it to the GO donor engagement team to be used for reporting and strategy development.- Captures learning experiences (best practices and lessons learned) based on donor and state team feedback and applies them to future visits.- Assist the Communication department in developing guidelines on donor visits and completion of reports including photography.- Assist in training new and existing India staff on the site visit coordination process and best practices for hosting and highlighting programs to donors. Develops and maintains training resources.- Assists the INCO communications team in donor report completion, documentation, and any other operational task that may come from time to time.- Follow up with other state teams, where RtR has operations, on different donor reporting timelines and completion.- To ensure orient the visitors on the Child Protection Code of Conduct and to seek their acknowledgment on the same.- To prepare half-yearly and annual Donor Engagement Newsletters.- To Coordinate and execute the photography of Different programs as per the allocated donors.

Qualification & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.- Master’s degree preferred.- 5 plus years of experience in relevant field- Excellent coordination skills.- Strong written and oral communication skills.- Open to travel.- Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
