**Front Roles and Responsibilities of Front Desk Staff**:
Guest Check-in/Check-out:Greet guests with a warm welcome.
Complete check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary details are captured in the system (e.g., name, payment method, room preferences).
Issue room keys, provide information on facilities, and offer assistance with luggage if necessary.
**Reservations Management**:
Process room bookings and cancellations accurately in the system.
Handle special guest requests (room preferences, amenities).
**Guest Services & Inquiries**:
Respond to guest inquiries related to hotel services, local attractions, and events.
Provide assistance with booking transportation, tours, and other services.
Maintain knowledge of local events, emergency contacts, and hotel promotions.
**Billing & Payments**:
Accurately process payments for stays, restaurant bills, spa services, etc.Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments efficiently.
Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and credit memos as needed.
**Problem-Solving & Guest Satisfaction**:Address guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.Ensure guest concerns are resolved to their satisfaction.
Monitor guest feedback and escalate unresolved issues to management when necessary.
**Security & Safety**:Ensure the security of guest rooms and common areas.
Handle emergency procedures, such as fire alarms or medical issues, following the hotel's safety protocols.
Safeguard guest data and follow privacy and confidentiality protocols.
**Communication**:Maintain communication with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate guest preferences, special requests, or issues to relevant departments.
Cash Handling & Reporting:Manage cash drawers and ensure accurate change is given.
Prepare shift handover reports for the next front desk team and report any discrepancies.Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded in the system.
