A Transport Executive working in a head office is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the company's transportation operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics. This role involves planning routes, monitoring vehicles, handling driver-related issues, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. The executive also interacts with various stakeholders, including drivers, vendors, and internal teams, to optimize transportation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Transportation Planning and Management**:

- Developing and implementing transportation strategies to meet business needs.
- Planning and optimizing routes for efficient delivery and reduced costs.
- Monitoring vehicle movements and performance using tracking systems (e.g., TMS).
- Managing driver schedules and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- **Vendor Management**:

- Negotiating with and managing relationships with transportation vendors.
- Ensuring compliance with vendor contracts and service level agreements.
- Monitoring vendor performance and addressing any issues or disputes.
- **Driver Management**:

- Addressing driver-related issues, such as scheduling conflicts, safety concerns, or performance issues.
- Ensuring drivers are properly trained and follow safety protocols.
- Managing driver payroll and benefits.
- **Compliance and Regulatory Affairs**:

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Implementing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Collaborating with other departments, such as operations, supply chain, and customer service, to achieve transportation goals.
- Communicating with drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.
- Generating reports and analyzing data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of transportation principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in transportation planning, routing, and dispatching.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.

Pay: ₹18,000.70 - ₹23,000.25 per month
