**Position Overview**:
AVGCI Academy, a premier institution in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) industry, is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Placement Officer to join our team. The Placement Officer will be pivotal in reaching out to companies within the AVGC industry and beyond, where our talented students can embark on their professional journeys. This role involves building and maintaining robust relationships with HR recruiters and placement officers, overseeing student skill development, and coordinating with the Academy team to enhance placement ratios significantly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Industry Outreach and Relationship Building**:

- Actively reach out to potential employers within the AVGC industry and other sectors suitable for our graduates.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with HR recruiters, placement officers, and key decision-makers in the industry.
- Attend industry networking events, career fairs, and conferences to promote AVGCI Academy and its talented pool of students.
- **Placement Strategy and Execution**:

- Develop and implement effective placement strategies that align with the industry's demands and our students' career aspirations.
- Coordinate with the Academy's academic team to understand the curriculum and highlight students' skills and projects to potential employers.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of employment opportunities and match students with suitable job positions.
- **Student Skill Assessment and Development**:

- Oversee the assessment of students' skills, strengths, and areas for improvement, aligning with industry requirements.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students on career options, resume building, interview techniques, and professional networking.
- Work closely with the faculty and career counselors to organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions that enhance students' employability.
- **Coordination with Academy Team**:

- Collaborate with various departments within the Academy to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and placement.
- Regularly update the Academy team on placement activities, trends in industry hiring, and feedback from employers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs based on industry needs and placement outcomes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in placement roles, ideally within the education sector or AVGC industry.
- Strong network and relationship-building skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent understanding of the job market and recruitment processes, particularly within the AVGC industry.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt strategies based on evolving industry trends.
