**Location : Bangalore (Hybrid)**

**Key tasks are** -:

- **Processing Payroll**:

- Calculate employee wages based on hours worked, salary, commissions, bonuses, or other compensations.
- Deduct taxes, insurance premiums, retirement contributions, and other deductions from employee paychecks.
- **Tax Compliance**:

- Ensure that payroll complies with federal, state, and local tax laws, including accurate tax withholdings and timely tax filings.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings (e.g., IRS Form 941, state tax forms).
- **Employee Records Management**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee hours, leave balances, and pay adjustments.
- File and store payroll documents securely for compliance and auditing purposes.
- **Generating Payroll Reports**:

- Prepare and distribute pay statements or pay stubs.
- Generate reports for management, such as payroll summaries, tax liabilities, and employee compensation reports.
- **Responding to Employee Inquiries**:

- Address any payroll-related concerns, including incorrect pay or deductions, discrepancies, and benefits questions.
- Assist employees in understanding their paychecks, deductions, and benefits.
- **Benefits Administration**:

- Assist with the enrollment of employees in benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans).
- Ensure the proper deductions are made for benefits and maintain accurate records.

**The Individual**:

- **Attention to Detail**: Ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with regulations is critical.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Familiarity with payroll software like Quickbooks or Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- **Organizational Skills**: Managing records and meeting deadlines, especially for tax reporting.
- **Knowledge of Payroll Laws**: Understanding federal and state employment laws, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- **Communication Skills**: Clear communication to answer employee questions and resolve payroll issues.
- **Mathematical Skills**: Ability to perform accurate calculations related to pay, taxes, and deductions.
