**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Position Purpose**:
Technical Architect of the GM Non-US Corporate Actions (CoA) processing IT platform

Transform the GM CoA IT platform to the next generation that would sustain & scale for the next decade, The team comprises developers & business analysts, with testers & production support staff in the ecosystem but not in the direct remit of this role.

**Direct Responsibilities**:

- Quality of IT. Deliveries.
- Technology Validation & Evolution.
- Support to business & operations.
- Support & Leadership to organizational initiatives.

**Technical & Behavioral Competencies**:

- Subject matter expert in Java based technologies, Databases, IT-Security, Agile
- Deep IT change experience as a Developer & architect
- Proven track record as an effective technology architect & leader
- Strong Communication Skills (Written & Oral)
- Critical Thinking
- Ability to relate and prioritize with Senior Management and Tech Experts
- Ability to guide 10+ staff
- Ability to motivate and develop talent.
- Action / Delivery orientation
- Decisive (including difficult decisions)

**Specific Qualifications**:

- An IT Engineering degree equivalent
- At least 10 years of work experience in IT
- At least 5 years of work experience in a Capital Markets IT environment
- Hands on Programming experience for at least 10 years
