Job Responsibilities

As a Computer Scientist 1, you will be responsible for:

- Crafting and implementing robust, scalable software solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and successfully implement new features
- Mentoring junior engineers and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- Ensuring flawless integration of various backend services
- Participating in code reviews and maintaining high coding standards
- Working within Scrum or similar agile frameworks to deliver projects on time

**Required Skills/Experience**
- 5-7 years of software engineering experience, primarily in front-end development
- Strong skills in solving complex problems using modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of front-end architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand), and component design
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including pre-processors like SASS/LESS), and responsive design
- Exposure to backend technologies and APIs; Java knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks like Webpack, Babel, Vite, and testing libraries (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
- Experience with cloud-based integrations, preferably AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront) or Firebase
- Understanding of web performance, accessibility (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility
- Prior experience mentoring junior front-end developers
- Worked in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for front-end projects
- Knowledge of CDN and performance optimization techniques (e.g., Akamai, Cloudflare) is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
