Position : Junior Credit Controller

Location : Coimbatore

Starberry is a digital creative agency, developing award-winning online business - based in London, UK. We are looking for an Account Assistant to join our offshore development team which is based in Coimbatore, India.

# Roles & Responsibilities

1. Credit Control: Manage and oversee the credit control function for our group company, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and minimizing credit risk exposure.

2. Client Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries, resolving payment disputes, and addressing any payment-related issues in a professional and courteous manner.

3. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of client accounts, ensuring that payments are accurately recorded and allocations are up to date.

5. Payment Plans: Negotiate and establish payment plans with clients when necessary, ensuring agreements are documented and followed up on regularly.

7. Reporting: Provide regular reports on credit control activities, debt aging, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the management team.

8. Cash Flow Management: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that credit control practices align with the company's cash flow objectives and overall financial goals.

9. Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes, coordinating with relevant internal departments and clients to reach an agreeable resolution.

10. Compliance: Stay updated on changes in regulations related to credit control, debt collection, and data protection, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

11. Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in credit control procedures, recommending and implementing solutions where appropriate.

# Essential Skill requirement

1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in credit control or accounts receivable management, preferably within a UK-based organization.

2. A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices is required to effectively manage client accounts and perform reconciliations.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent English communication isessential for building strong relationships with clients and effectively resolving payment-related issues.

4. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

5. Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate payment terms and agreements with clients while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

6. Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical mindset to identify credit risks, resolve disputes, and implement process improvements.

7. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant accounting software and tools used for credit control and collections is desirable.

8. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work collaboratively with team members across different departments.

9. Ethics: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to handling financial matters with integrity and confidentiality.
