**Job Purpose**

Ensuring the regulatory compliance of Lawful Intercept (LI) requirement for Circuit Core, Packet Core, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Wi-Fi, ILD, ISP, IPLC, Enterprise functions by implementing efficient & effective operation management of LI equipment’s nationally, including demonstration of LI capabilities to Lawful Enforcement Agencies. Support Vodafone Nodal team in providing a “zero downtime” monitoring service to Lawful Enforcement Agencies.

Help LI Planning with system utilization for capacity planning and execute capacity upgrade to existing LIMS across given domains based on finalized plan, support LI-Planning during implementation & roll-out of new initiative as mandated by regulatory bodies.

**Key Result Areas/Accountabilities**
- Part of evaluation committee for planning of new architecture for LI solutions, features, protocol support to planning team along with strategy for optimum use of LI equipment’s which will help to ensure that LI systems are capable to handle ever-changing Internet Protocols
- Timely roll-out of Lawful Intercept systems nationally post solution/vendor finalization and signing authority for Scope of Work with selected vendor as mandated for regulatory compliance
- Involved in defining the process/ guidelines to circles for efficient operation & governance of Lawful Intercept systems nationally.
- Guiding & supporting Circle teams, aligning resources, finalizing test cases for demonstration of LI capabilities to Lawful Enforcement Agencies, required for regulatory clearance within 90 days of intimation to DoT for any service launch at respective circle for required service
- SPoC to Corporate & Circle Nodal & Regulatory team for handling DoT/Term Cell requirement across circles and technical SPoC to respond to various regulatory queries
- Approving authority to Corporate & Circle Network team for new network element/links rollout post LI integration & verification of test cases across respective LI systems
- SPoC to Corporate IT Security team post finalization of security scope for LI equipment’s and ensure its implementation as mandated across LI systems
- Provide OM support for LI monitoring system and provide troubleshooting support during emergencies. Based on learnings, recommend architectural changes, features/protocol support requirement to Planning team
- Responsible for planning and budgeting AMC related to installed LI asset base with respective LI vendors / Equipment providers
- Provide the Budgetary cost to the SCM/Finance team YoY
- Responsible for sharing best practices and provide coaching and support to subordinates and Circle LI-SPoCs

**Key performance indicators**:

- Ensuring 99.999% uptime of all LI equipment’s and services
- Efficient and timely completion of all LI projects within Planning and Nodal defined timelines with proper documentation and escalations.
- Ensure “Zero” violations of Regulatory guidelines and complaints on LI systems
- Timely completion of capacity upgrade of network equipment like MSC, GMSC, HLR, SGSN (via Eric LIMS), GGSN, SGW, PGW, ILD/ISP/IPLC links by ensuring timely integration with respective LI systems, to cater to planning and business projections
- Effective “People Management” in terms of capability/skill set building, adherence to Vodafone’s HSW policies with “zero” fatalities

**Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience**
- Technical knowledge in Telecom Networks with good technical, analytical and team management skills
- Exposure to working in Multi-vendor and multi technology environment with focus on meeting regulatory & IT security compliance
- Ability to multitask with good time management and presentation skills
- Follow /get updated on the industry /related product trends
- At least 12 to 15 years’ experience in telecom network Ops.
- At least 5 to 6 years’ experience in managing Lawful In
