As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving quality processes plant wide. The role covers all Quality aspects linked to key processes including; conformity, process improvement, problem solving and root cause corrective action, non-conformity management, communication of performance against quality targets, risk and preventative action initiatives. You will act as an interface to the customer on aspects relating to project Quality (i.e. Contract Review, Quality Plans, Quality Program Reviews).

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Troubleshooting daily assembly floor issues, working with hourly employees, engineering, and Supervisors
- Driving improvements using root cause corrective action tools such as PFMEA, PDCA, and 3 X 5 Why’s
- Ensuring compliance by auditing and educating assembly team on procedures
- Supporting manufacturing and quality on the assembly floor
- Being accountable for delivery of high Say-Do ratio on action plan(s) and quality metric targets
- Being accountable for quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, inspection, witness points, etc.
- Directing quality improvement program towards operational and quality excellence
- Ensuring certification of product and tasks in accordance with quality requirements
- Ensuring QMS & HSE compliance in floor
- Complaint Handling and closure, documentation control of Project QA documents
- Incoming inspection, NCR raising, communicating and actions tracking

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Have minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Materials and/or related field
- Have strong expertise and knowledge of driving sustainable change via TPM, Lean manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma or similar approaches.
- Have effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface with large cross-section of Baker Hughes business and external stakeholders
- Have good analytical skills & experience in performing Root Cause Analysis
- Have the ability to work independently in a self-directed team environment and effectively perform under pressure
