Fabric Sourcing Executive

As a Fabric Sourcing Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and procuring fabrics for our company's manufacturing needs. You will collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency. Your role involves researching market trends, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure the best fabrics for our products.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Vendor Management**:

- Identify and establish relationships with fabric suppliers, both domestically and internationally.
- Evaluate potential vendors based on quality, reliability, cost, and sustainability criteria.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- **Sourcing Strategy**:

- Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan to meet the company's fabric requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in fabric production.
- Monitor and anticipate changes in fabric availability, pricing, and quality to adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to establish and maintain quality standards for fabrics.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of fabric samples and production batches to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Address any quality issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Supply Chain Management**:

- Coordinate closely with the Production Planning team to ensure timely delivery of fabrics to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Manage inventory levels and lead times to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
- **Compliance and Sustainability**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to fabric sourcing, including labor practices and environmental regulations.
- Promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, such as sourcing eco-friendly fabrics and reducing waste.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of fabric specifications, supplier contracts, and purchase orders.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
- Present findings and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fabric sourcing, preferably in the têxtile or apparel industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Solid understanding of têxtile materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulations in the têxtile industry is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to visit suppliers and attend trade shows or industry events.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed to accommodate different time zones and urgent issues.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of fabric sourcing and supply chain management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
