Role & responsibilities

Fabric & textile knowledge:

1. Deep understanding of fabric types, properties, and applications

2. Ability to assess fabric quality and suitability for production

3. Awareness of textile trends and innovations

Supply chain & vendor management:

Experience in sourcing fabrics from domestic and international suppliers

Strong negotiation skills for pricing and delivery terms

Ability to manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance

Costing & budgeting:

1. Proficiency in cost analysis and margin calculations

2. Budget planning and resource allocation

3. Price benchmarking and cost optimization strategies

Planning & coordination:

1. Production planning and timeline management

2. Coordination with design, production, and quality teams

3. Order tracking and follow-up to ensure timely delivery

Communication & presentation:

1. Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external vendors

2. Report writing and presentation skills for management updates

3. Fluent in written and spoken English (or relevant local language)

Analytical & problem-solving:

1. Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues

2. Risk assessment and contingency planning

3. Data-driven decision-making

Tech & Tools:

1. Familiarity with ERP systems, Excel, and merchandising software

2. Digital sourcing platforms and vendor databases

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience in womens wear or fashion retail brands.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics.

Additional Certifications (Optional but Valuable)

  • Certification in Fabric Sourcing & Procurement
  • Certification in Textile Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Short courses in Supply Chain Management or Merchandising
